Who manages the work, you or me?

You do, unless you buy the seat that does it. By default EXTEND is staff augmentation: the seats report into your team and your PM, you direct the day-to-day exactly like your own staff, and Vazgro handles sourcing, vetting, cover, swaps, payroll and replacing a seat that is not working out. What Vazgro does not do is assign the tasks. If you have nobody to do that, take a Product Manager seat: that person plans, prioritises and allocates the work from inside your team. If you would rather Vazgro owned the delivery itself, under our own management and our own commitments, that is GROW rather than EXTEND.

We don't have a PM. Can a seat plan the work for us?

Yes — that is what the Product Manager seat is for. It is a product manager or product owner who sits in your organisation and reports to you, and who does the planning the other seats do not: roadmap, backlog, priorities, and allocating day-to-day tasks. Their remit is your delivery, not only your Vazgro seats, so if you have your own developers or designers the seat can plan and allocate their work too. Two things stay exactly where they were: your own people remain your employees, with line management, HR and employment duties yours and not ours; and Vazgro still gives no turnaround, delivery or acceptance commitment on EXTEND, because that is what GROW is for. And the seat is optional. Take the other seats without it and the planning simply stays with you, which is how most EXTEND clients run.

Is there a minimum?

A 3-month minimum per seat, then it's monthly: scale up, scale down, swap roles or cancel.

Where are the people based?

We work as a global team, mainly across the UK and India, with people in other countries as roles require. Everyone is engaged and paid by Vazgro. You tell us the overlap hours you need and we staff the seat to meet them.

What does a seat actually buy?

Accepted Answer

One person working regular full-time hours for a month, to the normal working week and public holidays of the country they are in. They work to your priorities, in your tools, under your PM. Holiday and sick cover are ours to arrange, not yours to absorb.

Is the seat price all we pay?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The per-seat monthly price is the whole cost to you: no recruiter fee, no employer National Insurance, no payroll, no equipment cost, no bonus or benefits to fund. We employ and pay the individual, and we handle their tax and payroll in their own country.

Question 7

Do we take on any employment or IR35 risk?

Accepted Answer

No. The people in your seats are our staff, not contractors you have engaged, so you are not making an off-payroll status determination about them and you have no employer duties towards them. You direct their day-to-day work in the ordinary way you would direct any supplier working alongside your team.

Do I save vs hiring?

Accepted Answer

Yes. No recruiting fees, no payroll, benefits or holiday cost, and you can add or drop a seat as you need to. Multi-seat combos are discounted.

What if a seat isn't the right fit?

Accepted Answer

Tell your success manager and we'll swap in a replacement at no recruiting cost. We also arrange cover for planned holiday and, as fast as we can, for short-notice sickness.

How do they work inside our tools?

Accepted Answer

Just like a new hire. During onboarding you give your seat access to whatever your team already runs on (chat, issue tracker, code, design) as a collaborator, so they work directly in your stack and report to your PM. There is nothing for us to install and no integration to switch on: Vazgro does not connect to your tools as software, and your seat needs the same access you would give a new employee.
